Dear Parents and Carers,

The Riverbank Public School Primary (Years 3-6) Cross Country Carnival will be held on Monday 8 April 2024. This carnival is part of our school sports curriculum and the top 6 runners from each age group will represent our school at the Ridges Zone Carnival. All children in Years 3 to 6 are required to attend. 

Carnival Date: Monday 8 April 2024

Venue: Peel Reserve, 22 Alkoomie St, The Ponds

Cost: No cost

Time: Students will walk to Peel Reserve at approx. 9:00am. They will walk the track at approx. 9:30am and the carnival will commence at approx. 10:00am.

Uniform: Students must wear full sports uniform (including school hat), with a shirt in their house colour if they choose.

Please be advised that joggers may get dirty as the students run through open terrain. As this is an outdoor event, it is essential that students wear adequate footwear and sun protection. 

Students are further advised to bring a small bag within their normal school bag. This smaller bag must contain recess, crunch and sip, a small towel to sit on and plenty of water to drink on the day as students will carry it to Peel Reserve. 

Students can only attend if they have completed the permission to walk to Peel Reserve.

Parents and carers are welcome to attend the event.
